I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and Alexander Technique teacher.
By way of background, I have a degree in Economics and Politics and completed a Master’s programme at a leading international business school. I then worked in the corporate sector for several years before deciding to retrain.
I have an interest in how we are shaped by our roles, relationships and experiences, and the process of equipping and championing ourselves to make the most of our lives.

I completed a core five-year UKCP- and BACP-accredited training in transpersonal psychotherapy. This is an integrative approach which means that I am trained in a range of therapeutic perspectives and methods.

I’ve also undertaken specialist training in a number of inter-related areas, including family systems, trauma therapy (with leading specialist Babette Rothschild), neuroscience, attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy, non-violent communication, and recovery from addiction and eating disorders.

My approach to therapy is eclectic, bringing together all that I've found to be most valuable and effective. I work with a family systems’ perspective in that I consider our personalities are formed in the context of our roles and relationships, and look to help clients make connections between these early experiences and what's going on in their present life. I also tend to be body-centred and often work with clients during sessions to feel more grounded in their body, as a way to learn to manage anxiety and think / feel more easily. My style is relational in that I believe therapy is an opportunty not only for support, guidance and reflection with regards to what's going on in life outside the therapy room, but also for reparative relational experiences within therapy.
I completed a 3-year training in the Alexander Technique at the Constructive Teaching Centre in London, among the most respected training centres in the world.
